Rick Breen spent several years in banking management before entering the legal stream to specialize in Business Law, where he helps lead McLeod & Company’s fast expanding corporate practice in downtown Calgary’s busy Gulf Canada Square office.
A graduate of Carleton University in Ottawa, he earned a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Calgary Law School in 1996, and was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 1997.
After articling with McLeod & Company, he soon joined the Partnership in 2003.
His financial background and legal training have made him one of the firm’s leaders in representing both public and private corporations, as well as chartered banks, and advising on organizational, transactional and financing issues. As well, Rick Breen provides advice on Wills and Estate Planning and Succession Planning for a wide variety of clients.

Rick is very active in numerous community organizations, involved with both Provincial and Municipal levels of government and coaches youth sports.
Rick was a recipient of the Alberta Centennial Medal for Outstanding Service to the People and Province of Alberta.
