Robert Fooks brings a strong science and business background, varied work experience, and enthusiasm to his Corporate and Commercial law practice. He first graduated with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from the University of British Columbia before going on to complete Master of Science course work focused on insect pheromone chemistry at the University of Calgary. Mr. Fooks then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Calgary, and his Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Venture Development and Entrepreneurship.
While at university he was part of a two-person team which finished first in the 2001 Fraser Milner Casgrain negotiation competition and was a member of the Haskayne School of Business Case Team which finished third in international competition at the Concordia International Business Case Competition.
He joined McLeod & Company as an articling student in 2002 and was called to the Alberta Bar one year later. Now a partner, Mr. Fooks serves a wide variety of commercial real-estate and corporate clients from the firm’s fast-expanding Gulf Canada Square office in downtown Calgary.

Judge, University of Calgary Haskayne School of Business Case Competition. Board Member, University of Calgary Alumni Association. Robert Fooks is a mentor with Alberta Mentorship Foundation for Youth, a judge at the Calgary Youth Science Fair, and a volunteer with several other community organizations, as well as leading an active outdoors life through fly fishing.
