Mr. Kolinsky has been a member of the Law Society of Alberta since 1972 and has practiced law since that time. In 1998 he was appointed a Queen’s Counsel by the Government of the Province of Alberta.
In April 1990, Mr. Kolinsky joined McLeod & Company, bringing with him a wealth of experience as a general practitioner. He became a partner of the firm on January, 1999. Retiring from the partnership in 2005, Mr. Kolinsky continues his extensive practice as firm counsel.
Professional and Community Activities
Professionally, Mr. Kolinsky is a volunteer for the Law Society of Alberta Mentor Program for lawyers seeking advice in Real Property Law. He has participated in the Legal Education Society of Alberta Real Property Law Seminar, is a past volunteer for Calgary Legal Guidance, and a past member of the executive for the Real Property Section of the Canadian Bar Association.
Allan Kolinsky has been actively involved in numerous community activities throughout his career. He was Chairman and Founder of the Uncles at Large Society in the Calgary area, and a member of the Boards of Directors of the Canadian Progress Club Calgary Downtown, the Calgary Inter-Faith Community Action Association, the Centre for Income Security and Employment Association, the Calgary Hebrew School, Riverstone Condominiums, West Park Villas Condominiums and the Art Gallery of Calgary.
