Laurie joined McLeod & Company as an articling student in 2005 and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2006. She graduated with Distinction from the University of Calgary in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and completed her Bachelor of Laws in 2005, graduating third in her class. At university Laurie was an active member of the Society of Law Students, associate editor of the Alberta Law Review, wrote for and participated in the annual Law Show, and volunteered with Student Legal Assistance.
Laurie's practice is concentrated primarily in multi-family development and condominium matters, including both governance and litigation.
Professional and Community Activities
Besides belonging to the Law Society of Alberta, Laurie is a member of the Canadian Condominium Institute, South Alberta Branch and the Residential Real Estate section of the South Alberta Branch of the Canadian Bar Association. She has instructed at Condominium Management programs sponsored through Canadian Condominium Institute, and participated on the Steering Committee for the National Association of Condominium Managers.
