David earned his first degree, a Bachelor of Kinesiology with distinction, at the University of Calgary, before attending the University of Alberta where he obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree in 2005.
David articled with McLeod & Company, was called to the Alberta Bar in August 2006, and remains with the firm as an associate in the Corporate/Commercial Department and Real Estate Department. Subsequent to being called to the Bar, David has worked with small and medium sized business in the following areas:
- Sale & Purchase of Businesses through asset and share transactions
- Drafting and Reviewing Employment and Shareholder Agreements
- Corporate Structuring & Reorganizations
- Debt Financings
- Drafting General Business Contracts
David's services in the Real Estate Department have focused on the following areas:
- Residential and Commercial Real Estate Conveyancing
- Commercial Lease Drafting & Review
- Acting as Lenders and Borrowers counsel Re: Financings
Professional and Community Activities
David continues to volunteer with Calgary Legal guidance, offering individuals advice in the areas of civil law, landlord/tenant and employment law.
He is a certified fitness trainer and participates in running races.
