Erin joined McLeod & Company as an articling student in 2006, and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2007 and is currently an associate in the Litigation Department. Erin has appeared before the Provincial Court and the Court of Queen’s Bench on numerous occasions. She graduated from the University of Calgary in 2003 with a Bachelor of Nursing Degree and completed her Bachelor of Laws Dalhousie University in 2006 with a specialization in Health Law and Policy. At university Erin was actively involved in the area of student government and was a member of many provincial committees on post-secondary education. While in law school Erin also volunteered with Pro-Bono Student’s Canada. Erin is also a Registered Nurse and has considerable work experience within the health care system in the areas of medical research and patient care.
Professional and Community Activities
Besides belonging to the Law Society of Alberta, Erin is a member of the Employment and Health Law sections of the Alberta Branch of the Canadian Law Society. Erin also is also the current chair of the Advisory Board and Appeals Board of the Students’ Association of Mount Royal College. In addition, Erin continues to practice as a Registered Nurse within the Calgary Health Region on a casual basis.
