Simon was awarded a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Alberta in 1993 and was called to the Alberta bar in 1994. He has extensive experience in litigation matters having been in-house counsel for one of North America’s largest insurance companies, the City of Calgary and the City of Edmonton. Most recently Simon practiced with a downtown Calgary law firm, having joined the litigation group with McLeod & Company LLP in March, 2008.
Simon has conducted trials and appeals before all levels of Court in Alberta and has appeared before various administrative tribunals.
Professional and Community Activities
Simon has been a guest speaker and lectured on issues of personal injury, civil litigation, administrative law, and insurance law before numerous groups including the University of Alberta, the Alberta Association of Insurance Adjusters, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Law Society Bar Admission Course.
He is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association.
