Michael joined McLeod & Company as an articling student in 2007, and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2008. Michael is currently an associate in the Litigation Department. Michael has appeared in the Court of Queen’s Bench on numerous occasions, and has conducted trials in the Provincial Court of Alberta. Michael graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in criminology. While at university, Michael was an athlete on Canada’s National Snowboard Team, and actively involved with various professional sports organizations in the Vancouver and Calgary areas. Michael attended law school at the University of Calgary, graduating in 2007. Here, Michael volunteered with the Student Legal Assistance Program, providing legal guidance and representation to individuals in the community. Michael was also the chair of the University of Calgary Student’s Union Appeal Board.
Professional and Community Activities
Michael is an active motivational speaker with the Clean Air Champions Program, the Esteem Team, and the Clean Calgary Association. Michael is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association.
