![]() Mr. Rathwell has been engaged in the growth of McLeod & Company since articling with the firm in 1997 to becoming a Partner in January 2005. Mark Rathwell practices exclusively in the area of litigation with an emphasis on a wide range of commercial matters. This includes banking, personal property security, estates, construction, real property, commercial leasing and insolvency. Mr. Rathwell represents clients ranging from individuals and small business to large corporations and chartered banks. He has acted as lead counsel in numerous complex disputes. He has appeared successfully before all levels of Court in Alberta and several administrative tribunals. Mr.Rathwell obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of British Columbia in 1994, and his law degree, with honours, from the University of Wales in 1997. Professional and Community Activities Mr. Rathwell is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association, the Calgary Bar Association and the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association. He is a frequent volunteer with various community groups and charities. A native Calgarian, Mark Rathwell is proud of Alberta’s rugged western heritage and the pristine landscapes which helped shape the character of the province’s people. He resides in the foothills southwest of Calgary where he enjoys the challenges and rewards of life in the country. |
