Alberta Technology Symposium: Uniting Alberta's Technology Ecosystem
The Alberta Blockchain Consortium hosts the 2020 Alberta Technology Symposium, set to bring the spotlight to Alberta's tech sector this April in Edmonton, Alberta.
Matthew Burgoyne of the McLeod Law Cryptocurrency & Blockchain group will be moderating the panel, 'Trust in Transactions: Security & Digital Currency Exchanges' with government advisors and exchange owners, including Amber Scott of Outlier Resources and Michael Rabkin of SigOne Capital.
As more people begin to explore the advantages of digital currencies, its markets are becoming increasingly standardized, compliant and secure. This expert panel will explain how the sector is quickly evolving from the Wild West to something much more like Wall Street as it relates to the emerging branch of fintech and how it is undergoing a necessary transformation towards safer and more trustworthy exchanges with enhanced cybersecurity and new regulatory oversight for laws like AML and KYC.
The McLeod Law Cryptocurrency & Blockchain group is a sponsor of the Alberta Technology Symposium showcasing the positive direction the Alberta tech industry has taken, but also promoting growth by connecting entrepreneurs, partners, and customers with the talent, market and capital they need.
