Asher is an associate in the firm's Family Law Group where his practice involves all aspects pertaining to family law. He has appeared at all levels of Court in Alberta: Provincial, Queen’s Bench and Appeal.
Born and raised in Calgary, Asher obtained a business degree from Mount Royal College and then worked for three years in the oil and gas industry. In 2010, he moved to the United States to pursue a law degree in Virginia. During law school, Asher won multiple Moot Court competitions, including a U.S. National competition where his team also won the award for Best Brief and served as his school’s Moot Court President. On graduation, Asher was inducted into the Order of Barristers, a U.S. National Honour’s Society that encourages oral advocacy and brief writing skills. He was inducted into the Virginia State Bar in October 2013 and the Alberta Bar in 2015.
In his personal life, Asher’s interests include anything nerdy. He refers to himself as a Gamer and Geek Culture Emissary. He is a published author of a young adult science fiction novel and is continuing to write a sequel. He is also close to completion of a fantasy novel.
