At McLeod Law, Cristie oversees the firm’s operational, people, and strategic functions, working closely with the executive committee, partners, and management team to support the execution of the firm’s strategic priorities. She brings a people-centred, business-minded approach to leadership, focused on building the systems, culture, and talent needed to support long-term growth and exceptional client service.
Cristie brings a blend of legal and business leadership experience, having spent 23 years at an international law firm. Admitted to the bar in Alberta in 2003 and Ontario in 2004, she practiced primarily in employment and labour law and commercial litigation. Since 2019, she held national strategic and operational responsibility for legal talent management across seven offices, leading firm-wide programs in recruitment, career development, performance management, compensation, and succession planning. She also played a key role in leading change initiatives and operational decision-making as a member of senior leadership committees.
Outside of work, Cristie enjoys hiking and travelling and currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Board of Westside Regional Recreation Society.
