About the Visionaries

Jim Button is co-founder of Village Brewery, Calgary’s newest micro-brewery. Jim works hard to gather people around community. Using beer as a social lubricant, he leverages his many experiences in marketing and building communities to create a more connected Calgary. Jim is also a strategist at Evans Hunt Group where his combination of digital marketing experience and his entrepreneurial mindedness make him a much better small businessman.

James Boettcher is the Chief Idea Officer of Fiasco Gelato & Co-Founder of YYCFoodTrucks. James is one of the most influential advocates for making Calgary awesome, whether it’s one tiny spoonful at a time, or bringing food truck culture to Calgary. He is continually driven to influence his community in ways that will add vibrancy & encourage collaboration by building a team that has the same love for what they do.

Ken King is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation, including the Calgary Flames, Calgary Hitmen, Calgary Roughnecks, Calgary Stampeders and operates the Scotiabank Saddledome. Ken believes strongly in contributing to the community and he knows incredible achievements can be accomplished when aspiration and determination mix with a visionary approach, meaningful intentions, responsible actions and, above all, consideration for others.
