Sergio is currently in his final year of a dual JD/MBA at the University of Calgary. During his studies, he has held various positions, including working at start-ups and venture capital, consulting on AI regulation, and being a teaching assistant at the Haskayne School of Business.

He was also selected as a 2024 Venture for Canada Fellow, contributes as a Fund Manager at the UCeed Haskayne Student Fund, is a Fellow at HaloHealth, and is a past Business Venture Clinic member. He served as the Executive Student Chair for the Canadian Bar Association in Alberta, part of Pro Bono Student Canada's Hearsay Podcast, and part of the inaugural CAIELI Student Advisory Council.

In addition to his law degree, Sergio is pursuing a Master of Science in Data Science and Analytics from the Georgia Institute of Technology. His prior academic achievements include a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Calgary, where he conducted research on bisphenols and infectious diseases at the Cumming School of Medicine.

Outside the office, Sergio enjoys playing soccer, playing guitar, watching movies, and making ice cream.
