Calgary's Attabotics raises $25 Million for next round of growth

July 30, 2019

Maria Nathanail and Charlotte Hall assisted Attabotics Inc., a Calgary-based supply chain automation company, with its $25 Million Series B financing. The investors included hedge-fund firm, Coatue Management, Comcast Ventures and Honeywell International’s venture capital arm, as well as returning early investors, early stage VC firm Forerunner Ventures and Werklund Growth Fund. The funds will be used by Attabotics to expand its team and scale its manufacturing operations, and to develop new technologies that will them move towards their goal of changing the supply chain industry.

Attabotics is at the forefront of automation technology providers and transforming the fulfillment of modern e-commerce. It is revolutionizing new ways to store and handle goods, and is doing this from right here in Calgary.

Attabotics condenses the rows and aisles of typical retail fulfillment centers into a single, vertical storage structure where, internally, a fleet of robotic shuttles stores and delivers goods to workers for shipping. This saves retailers money, reduces their warehouse space requirements by 85%, accelerates shipping and delivery times, and helps reduce energy and carbon emissions from transport.
