Saskatoon Farm Food Poisoning
Understanding the Risks
E. Coli infections can cause lifelong injuries and debilitating complications, especially in children and older adults. Common symptoms include nausea, vomiting, fever, and diarrhea, which can progress to bloody diarrhea or blood in the stool.
Amoebiasis is caused by a parasite called Entamoeba histolytica. While symptoms may not appear right away, the infection can spread and cause severe complications in the liver, lungs, heart, or brain.
If you or a loved one are experiencing symptoms, do not delay seeking medical care. Even if you are not experiencing symptoms, it is recommended you call Health Link at 811 for amoebiasis screening. You can read more information from AHS here.
